Magnetic Lasso Tool
- is one of the three lasso tools in Photoshop. It is especially useful for quickly selecting objects with complex edges set against high-contrast backgrounds.
Step by step instructions:
- Select the lasso tool in the toolbar, and drag a selection around the object you want to remove, keeping the edge close to the object but including some of the surrounding detail.
- Right-click on mouse and select what action you want to do. For example, Select Inverse>Fill>White>OK. The background will change to white.
- Click the Deselect option (ctrl D) when the fill is complete.
